LIFE DOESN'T HAPPEN LIKE A HALF HOUR SITUATION COMEDY.

I am a baby boomer....  Our generation was really the first where a TV was always available.  Think about the programs we had...  Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Donna Reed....  The half hour comedy.  In the first few minutes, the "problem" would arise...  Seven minutes before the end of the program, the "problem" would be solved.  In the last few minutes, the moral of the story would be given....

Here I am, years later.  I am suffering from depression, and frustrated with my life.  I am frustrated with myself, my family, everything....  Nothing in my life works out.  My "problem" hasn't been solved in half an hour....  What am I doing wrong?

It took me a long time to realize the baby boomer mentality doesn't always work.  I grew up in a family where a lot of Old World (Poland) customs were still being followed.  I also grew up a Roman Catholic....  In my early lifetime, there was the big upheavel in the Church -- No long a doom and gloom mentality...  The altar was turned around...  We could understand what the priest was saying...  Jesus was a loving God...  Bad thing -- none of the older clergy wanted to go with the changes, making it hard for the younger people trying to figure out what was going on.....  I say that my main problem in life is that I was raised "Catholic and Guilty" -- I was a girl, so if there was a doubt, whatever I did was wrong.  Don't laugh, but I was into my 20's, just married, and I got angry at my husband.  I drove from our house to my parent's house, looking for sympathy from mom....  Well, mom asked what I did wrong...  She got me so upset, I turned around and drove back home...

More to follow....

Welcome

This is my first post to my blog.....  It will probably be just an erratic unsensable mess of words and thoughts.  So many time when I am on Facebook, I get an idea, but I have no where to put it.  Now I do.  Please feel free to make responses, but refrain from using profanity.  If I find any, I'll erase it.....

Not much to say right now, but you can be sure that there will be more.

Just remember:
If life is just a bowl of cherries, why am I always in the pits....  (Thank You Erma Bombeck).
